Hearing/Conduct Meeting Determination | Spalding University Student Handbook

Hearing/Conduct Meeting Determination

Within three (3) days after the date of any hearing or developmental conduct meeting, the hearing official or representative of the Honor Board will make a written recommendation regarding findings and sanctions to the Dean of Students.

The Dean of Students or designee will review the recommendation(s) and will issue an official Findings/Sanctions Letter within three (3) days after the date of receipt of the recommendation.

The written decision will include information regarding appeal procedures, if there is an option for appeal. The complainant may also receive notification of the hearing decision as allowed by law and institutional policy. Records of all developmental conduct meetings/hearings will be maintained for five (5) years after all appeal rights have expired or have been exhausted, unless state or federal law requires that they be maintained for a longer period for auditing purposes only.
